May to June of 1668 for 80 scudi.
Height
- 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine This is a part of a group
erected between July and December 1668. Part of the head
is missing, and her right hand originally
held pliers, the instrument of her torture and martyrdom.
She was
one of a group of virgin martyrs who died in Alexandria during
the uprising against the Christians. The legend of her
torture included having all of her teeth pulled out.
