St. Remigius - Bishop

It was installed between 29 May and 3 July of 1668.

Sculptor - Giovanni Maria de Rossi
He was paid for eight statues from August 1667 to November 1668.

Height - 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine
He is presented in episcopal robes with a miter. His left hand is raised is the act of blessing.

As Bishop of Reims, he baptised Clovis I, King of the Franks, leading to the conversion of the entire Frankish people. His image is particularly numerous in France and Germany.
