This statue is not attributed to any sculptor in the Bernini
studio, but is known for its classical beauty, and especially
for it type of drapery called "bagnato" (wet).

Height
- 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine She holds a palm of
martyrdom with her left arm.
A reputed
pupil of the Apostle Paul, who is the heroine of the apocryphal
"Acts of Paul and Thecla".
Due to
a lack of historical information she was removed from the
Roman Martyrology, 2001.
