statues between August 1667 and November 1668.
Height
- 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine The
statue is represented with a very simple iconography of only
the palm of martyrdom. The drapery is tunic and cloak.
All
that is really known for certain of Lucy is that she was a
martyr in Syracuse during the persecution by Diocletian of 304
AD.
